What Is Changing?

Here at FreeUp we are dedicated to investing into the platform to continuously make it better for all of our freelancers.

On October 20th, we will be launching a secure payment platform called Tipalti to better secure all PayPal payments and also offer eChecks/ACH payments.

You can select to receive your weekly writer payout via:

• PayPal
• ACH: USA Only
• eCheck: All Countries

By October 25th, ALL freelancers using PayPal must register in the Tipalti System.

The first payout date will be on Wednesday, October 26th. That’s right, we will be paying out one day earlier for freelancers using Tipalti.

The setup process for this will be very quick and easy and will only take a few minutes!

What Is Tipalti?

Tipalti is a payment processing platform that will be able to manage all freelancer payouts via PayPal, eCheck or ACH transfers.

The platform will allow you, the freelancer, to securely receive payments quickly

You will also be able to access a billing dashboard which will keep track of all your payment statuses and updates.

Fees:

ACH: USD $1.00

eCheck: USD $3.50

PayPal (Non-US Resident): USD $1.00 + 2% Up to USD $21.00

PayPal (US Resident): USD $1.00 + 2% Up to USD $2.00

***The Tipalti portal is the source of truth for all fees**

Payoneer and SingX:

Payoneer and SingX are currently not available in the Tipalti platform.

We highly encourage freelancers using Payoneer and SingX to also transition to the Tipalti paltform to receive earlier secured payments.

Why Are We Making This Update?

The most important thing to us here at FreeUp is that our freelancers get paid consistently and on time.

There have been changes being made to various payment platforms’ processing methods in recent months that we feel are becoming a risk to you, the freelancer.

This change to Tipalti will ensure continuous timely payments and transparent reporting for you the freelancer.

In Tipalti’s payment portal you will now be able to see a breakdown of all your payment statuses and live billing updates.

We understand this is a big change and please know that we strongly believe this move is in the best interests of you the freelancer.
