With the fast-approaching and always-lingering reality of Q4, it’s never too early to start thinking about how you’re going to take advantage of this most lucrative time of year. Sure, it may sound like I’m beating a dead horse when I say things like, “Have you optimized your Buyer-Seller messages for maximum conversion?” and “What are you doing to grow product reviews?” and, hey, “Have you thought about what the best way is to improve your reputation?”
These questions are important to answer, however – dare dare I say, imperative, to your success on Amazon.
Here are four email templates for Amazon that you can use during Q4 2018 to grow product reviews and improve your reputation, branding, and feedback, all at the same time. Let’s get started.
Have you ever started a writing project only to find yourself staring at the flashing cursor for 17 minutes because you can’t decide where to start? We all know this feeling all too well. That’s why starting with a template is so beneficial; it gives you a frame to work with. My go-to resource for writing templates is Copyhackers’ Ultimate Guide to No-Pain Copywriting.
This guide gives you tried-and-true copywriting formulas that are often used by the pros. By taking a quick glance, you’ll quickly identify a few that look vaguely familiar. Those such as AIDA (Attention, Interest, Desire, Action) and FAB (Features, Advantages, Benefits) will stand out because you’ve more than likely seen them in your email inbox or on a landing page.
I realize that most of these formulas are for trying to get the sale, whereas you’ve already gotten the sale if you’re using email templates for Amazon messaging, but there’s still some juice to squeeze out of the lemon. That’s because you’ll still want a product review or seller feedback, or you’ll just want to grow your brand.
That’s where these effective copywriting methods will give you an advantage: because you still want the buyer to do something for you and not them.
This template is great if you’re looking to improve your reputation on Amazon. Whether that be soliciting seller feedback or just creating a positive rapport with the buyer, this template will help.

I wear Nike shoes all of the time. I own several pairs and I buy a couple of pairs every year. I know I’m not unique because a ton of people wear the Nike brand. But I don’t keep buying Nike shoes because of retargeting ads I see on Instagram or because I saw a commercial. I buy Nike because it continually makes a quality product that’s cool, fresh, comfortable, and familiar—I just like the brand.
I understand that Nike is a go-to example for branding, and that it’s a cliche, but that’s because NIke is the best at it.
We all want a brand like Nike. Will you ever be as big as Nike? Probably not, but can you build a fanbase as committed? Absolutely. Here’s a messaging template that will help with your branding by adding more value after the sale.

Amazon Seller Feedback can mean something different depending on what kind of seller you are. If you resell a brand that isn’t yours, then it’s indispensable for winning the Buy Box. But if you sell products under your own brand, the Buy Box isn’t as important. One thing’s certain for every seller, and that’s the importance of their Seller Feedback Score.
Amazon uses this score to measure the quality of an Amazon seller. Similar to product reviews, there is a five-star rating system and shoppers can leave their feedback after a purchase.
A high feedback score will help sellers from being suspended. A customer dissatisfaction rate consisting of 25% negative or neutral feedback will put you at risk of being suspended by Amazon. And nobody wants a suspended account. The best way to mitigate this problem is by proactively providing excellent service and asking shoppers to leave you positive seller feedback – and there are feedback tools that can help you do this, plus boost conversions.

Amazon product reviews have been a hot topic in recent years. This was especially true when Amazon banned incentivized product reviews just before Q4 2016. Ever since this monumental change, product reviews have become harder to obtain. But this also means that product reviews have become more honest and more valuable. Sellers now are getting fewer product reviews, but those that they do get are much more thorough and meaningful than before.
With that said, you should be working to get more product reviews, especially by asking repeat customers to drop a line or two.

At Seller Labs, we recommend that sellers send a single—yes, one—message per order. This is because you, me, shoppers, basically everyone, gets enough email. Over-messaging won’t yield the results you’re after, they’ll simply annoy recipients and cause them to unsubscribe. Unfortunately, many sellers incorrectly assume that more messages means more Amazon feedback and product reviews.
This is why it’s crucial that you focus on quality over quantity when it comes to Buyer-Seller messaging. The last thing you want is to get flagged for over-messaging. Plus, you don’t want to be “that seller” who seems desperate for a product review or feedback.
You’re busy. You don’t have time to send an email to every person who buys from you. Luckily, we live in modern times where automation reigns supreme—especially for doing mundane-but-important tasks. And your Buyer-Seller messages are just that, mundane but important.
You can save time, improve your reputation, brand, feedback and grow reviews—automatically—with feedback tools like Feedback Genius, which you can try free for 30 days. It’s the most-used Amazon Buyer-Seller messaging platform in the industry. It’s also packed with templates and features that help improve your messages, which are just as inextricably linked as feedback is to your business and your brand.
